Penguins face Canadiens without Crosby

The Pittsburgh Penguins face their toughest test of the season, playing the first of what will likely be several games without Sidney Crosby Saturday night against the Montreal Canadiens (CBC except southern Ontario, 7 p.m. ET).
Crosby hit the boards feet-first midway through the first period of a home game Friday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The young star, who began the night tied for the NHL’s scoring lead, was diagnosed with a high right ankle sprain, meaning he could be out for several weeks. He has not made the trip to Montreal and is due to be re-evaluated today.
